Submitted by Mary Lou Hudson Middlesboro Daily News, Middlesboro, KY Sept. 16, 1921 Local Merchant Dies Suddenly Sol Robert Frockt, Manager of Wender's Store, Dies of Acute Indigestion Last Night Sol Robert Frockt, aged 39 years, manager of the Wender department store on Cumberland avenue, died of acute indigestion at his home over the Wender store at 6:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Frockt became ill Thursday morning and his condition became gradually worse until the end came quietly and painlessly at 6:20 o'clock. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Rebecca Frackt; daughter Ethel Ruth, 16; three brothers, Mose and Max of Louisville, Louis of Harlan and his father in Louisville. The relatives accompanied the remains which left on the 1:05 train this afternoon to Louisville. Burial will take place tomorrow in the Brith Sholom cemetery there. He came to Middlesboro from Louisville, Ky., in May and in partnership with brother-in-law, Sam Wender of Jellico, opened the Wender department store. Although he had been in business only a short time, he had made a host of friends and he was regarded as a good business man. His store was one of the up-to-date establishments on Cumberland avenue. Frockt was a member of the Jewish church and B'nnl B'rith, a prominent Jewish order. ______________________________
