She was born in Pineville on August 10, 1930, daughter of the late Vantoy and Bertha Hunter Partin. She had been a hairdresser for 37 years, retiring from Lucille's Beauty Shop and Greenwood Manor in 1999. She was a member of the Fuson Chapel Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Vantoy, Jr. and Lonnie Partin. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Otis Funson, daughters, Ann (Kerry) Kennedy of Xenia, Linda (Ronnie) Coates of Wilmington, OH and Pam (Mitch) Edwards of New Tazewell, TN; five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren; brother and sisters, Rev. Truman (Joyce) Partin of Middlesboro; Velma Sharp and Lola Ellison of Winchester, KY, Evelyn (Clyde) Miracle, and Bessie (Jim) Neal of Pineville, uncle Grant (Gertrude) Hunter of Pineville; sisters-in-law, Opal Newport of Springfield, OH and Jennifer Ladd of Enon, OH; thirty-four nieces and nephews and numerous extended family members. Services were Wednesday at the Funson Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Denny Gene Hunter and Rodeny Mason. Burial was in the Funson Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were family and friends.
