T. and Liza Gary November 7, 1939 Butler-Grayson County KyArchives Deed 160 acres at Welchs Creek Written: November 7, 1939 Recorded: November 9, 1939 This Deed of Conveyance made and entered into this 7th day of November, 1939 between W. T. Gary and his wife, Liza Gary of Welches Creek County of Butler State of Kentucky, party of the first part, and Ivan E. Gary and his wife Marie Gary, survivor to have and to hold the remainder the same as if it were deeded to each individually, of Welches Creek, County of Butler, State of Kentucky, party of the second part, witnesseth: That said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars payable to the Bank of Caneyville, Caneyville, Ky., evidenced by promissory note of even date payable six months after date, or any renewal thereof, with interest from maturity, and further that second party has paid all of the indebtedness of the first party leaving first party free from all incumbrances the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby sell and convey to the parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, the following property, to-wit: A certain tract or parcel of land lying in Butler County, Kentucky, on the Flatwoods-Neafus road and being the same land conveyed by two deeds to the first party by Elijah Gary and J. J. Burden by deeds bearing date, Sept. 1, 1900 and May 26, 1905, which is duly recorded in deed books 11, 15, page 472, 260, Butler County Court Clerk's Office, containing 160 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stone on the north corner of the farm on the Flatwoods-Neafus road: thence a straight line southward to a stone in the Verdine Fleener line (Now Ida Gary's); thence eastward a straight line to a stone corner to the Doran Fleener land; thence northward a straight line to the Barnett's Lick Road; thence eastward a straight line with said road to corner of A. G. Bryant's land; thence northward a straight line to the corner of W. B. Taylor's 1 1/2 acre lot; thence west 105 yards and north 70 yards with said Taylor's line to the Neafus-Flatwoods road; thence westward with said road to the beginning corner. Sold by the boundary and not by the acre. TO HAVE and TO HOLD THE same, together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the party of the secod part their heirs and assigns forever. And the party of the first part hereby covenants with the said party of the second part, that they will warrant the title to the property hereby conveyed unto the said party of the second part, and their heirs and assigns forever. A lien is retained upon the property hereby conveyed as security for the payment of said unpaid purchase money. T. Gary and his wife, Liza Gary to Ivan E. Gary and his wife, Mae Marie Gary was on the 7th day of November 1939, produced to me in said County and acknowledged before me by W. T.
