July 4, 1922 — April 5, 2006

Wade Hampton Gayhart, 83, of Crossville, passed away April 5, 2006. Funeral services 
were conducted April 10 at First Baptist Church of Blanchester, OH, with Bradley Quick 
officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Blanchester, OH.

Mr. Gayhart was born July 4, 1922 in Hazard, KY, the son of Martin and Martha Godsey 
Gayhart.

He attended Oak Hill Baptist Church in Crossville and was a machinist. He enjoyed 
playing guitar, fishing, hunting and enjoyed playing board games.

Survivors include his wife, Verniece Childs Gayhart of Crossville; son, Quenton 
Wade (Diana) Gayhart of Crossville; daughter, Jane Lee (Richard) Walker of Sun City, 
AZ; grandchildren, Chad Walker, Jennifer Charlton, Joy Emerick, Jeff Gayhart, Wade 
Walker and Jessica Bettencourt; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Leanna Bowling 
of Cincinnati, OH.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three 
sisters.

Pallbearers were Chad Walker, Jeff Gayhart, Wade Walker, Donnie Emerick, Michael 
Bettencourt and Joe O'Mara.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
