Gheens,being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills which may have heretofore been made by me. 1 - I wish all my just debts and funeral expenses paid. 2- I wish a granite tombstone erected over my grave to cost a sun not less than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars nor mare than Three Hundred ($300.00) Dollars, according to the discretion of my executor. 3 - I have heretofore given Dr. Charle H. Hemphill my note for $2500.00 to establish a scholarship in the Presbyterian Theological seminary at Louisville in memory of my mother, Anna Margaret McHatton. This note I wish paid by my executor or if for any reason the note may have been lost or destroyed, I hereby give, devise, and bequaath the sum of $2500.00 to the said Presbyterian Theological Seminary for the establishment of the scholarship above named. 4 - To the Highland Institution located at Guerrant, Ken- tucky, I give, devise, and bequeath the sum of Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars. 5 - To the General Assembly's Executive Committee of the Assembly's Home Missions of the Presbyterian Church in the United States, located at Atlanta, Georgia, I give, devise, and beaqueat the sum of One Hundred ($~100 .00) Dollars. 6 - To the General Assembly's Executive Committee of the Assembly's Foreign Missions of the Presbyterian Church in the United states, located at Nashville, Tennessee, I give, devise, and beaqueath the sum One Hundred ($100.00 Dollars). 7 - To my sister, Alice Mount, I give, devise, and bequeath the sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars. 8 - To my niece, Laura Church, I give, devise, and bequeath the sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars. 9 - To my neice, Annie Martin, I give, devise, and bequeath the sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars and also my watch. 10 - To my cousin, Daisy Richardson, I give, devise, and be- queath the sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars as a token of my appreciation of her kindness and the kindness of her mother to my mother. 11 - To my grandneice, Elizabeth McHatton, I give and bequeath my diamond brooch. 12- To my grandniece, Eugenia McHatton, I give and bequeath my diamond ring. I realize that the brooch is very much more valuable than the ring and suggest that it would not be contrary to my wishes if Elizabeth can in some way equalize this with Eugenia, but I am merely making this as a suggestion. 13 - To Alice Conn, the daughter of my deceased husband, I give and bequeath my coral set, consisting of earrings and breast pin, in token of her kindness to me. 14- To Lena McHatton, the wife of my nephew, Thomas S. McHatton, I give and bequeath all my household and personal ef- fects, including my long gold chain and any other jewelry not specifically bequeathed herein. 15 - All the rest, reside, and remainder of my estate of whatsoever kind, whether real, personal, or mixed, I give, de- vise, and bequeath to my newphe, Thomas S. McHatton, to be his absolutely and in fee simple. I make him my chief beneficiary of my estate because of the uniform kindness of him and hiS wlfe to me, especially In pro- viding me a home during my later years. I am making no provision in this will for my sister, Laura Friddle, as this is her wish since she is amply provided for; nor am I making any provision for my niece, Aalice Beattie, since she is amply provided for; nor for my niece, Edith Davis, because of difficulties which I experienced with her. I hereby nominate and appoint the Fidelity & Columbia Trust Company of Louisville the Executor of my will with full power to sell, assign, transfer, and convey upon such terms as it may determine any and all property, real or personal, that may belong to my estate, all of my estate at the present time, however, being in some form of personal property.
