Georgia Catherine Jackson Gibson, age 85 of Hardinsburg, KY died Thursday,3-22-
2007 at the Masonic Homes in Louisville,KY. She was born in Leitchfield, KY on 
12-2-1921, the daughter of the late Robert Edward and Nell Hinton Jackson.
Georgia was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church, a homemaker and retired 
hairdresser. She was preceded in death by her husband James Gibson 8-23-1986.
 
Georgia is survived by 5 daughters: Cassandra (Ronald) Marshall of Hardinsburg, 
KY Greta Sherman, Cynthia (Steve) Vernon and Christina Wilson all of Louisville, 
KY Mary Embry of Owensboro, KY
9 grandchildren: Jeff and David Marshall Jay Sherman Elizabeth and Maxwell Vernon 
Katie and John Embry Madeline and Maria Wilson
 
Funeral services will be held on Monday, 3-26-2007 at 11 AM at St. Romuald Catholic
 Church with Fr. Tony Bickett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. 
Visitation will be held on Sunday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home from 3:30 - 8:00 PM 
and after 8:30 AM Monday. Rosary at 7 PM on Sunday. Memorial contributions are 
requested to: St. Romuald Catholic Church or Hospice and Palliative Care.
