KY Deed Bk A p.50 This Indenture made the twenty day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety four between John GLEN and Abigail his wife of the one part and Thomas GILLALINS [GILLELAND] of the other part - all of the County of Hardin and state of Kentucky Witnesseth That the said John GLEN and Abigail his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds Kentucky Currencey to them in hand paid the receipt where of is hereby acknoweldge have Bargained and sold and by their presents do Bargain grant alein and Confirm unto the said Thomas a Certain tract or parcel of Land Containing two hundred and fifty acres Lying and being in the said County of Hardin on Nolin being a part of an 2000 acre survey pattented in the name of William MONTGOMERY and part of the tract that the said John GLEN now lives on and bounded as followeth towit Beginning at the mouth of Bever dam run on the North side of Nolin at stake running thence North Eighty degrees west thirty three poles to a Beech in VanMETERs line thence with said line North twenty degrees East three hundred and thirty eight poles to a stake Corner to said VANMETER on the original line of the 2000 acre survey thence with said line south seventy degrees East eighty one (?) poles to a black oak and red oak in said line thence south twenty degrees west one hundred and sixty poles to a black oak thence south half (?) degrees west seventy eight poles to an Elm thence south sixty two degrees East Ninety one poles to a Beech and poplar thence south twenty two degrees West one hundred and forty two poles to a Beech and sugartree on the Bank of Nolin thence with the several Meanders there of to the Beginning - To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with its appertenance the said Thomas GILLALINS and his heirs for ever and the said John GLEN and Abigail his wife for themselves and their Heirs do further Covenant and agree to and with the said Thomas GILLILINS his Heirs or assigns that they will for ever warrant and defend the affore said Tract or parcel of land with all its appertenances there unto belongin to said Thomas GILLALINS his Heirs & against themselves and their Heirs and against every other person or persons whatsoever claiming of said Land by them or any other Claim. In witness where of the said John and Abigail his wife have here unto set their hands and affixed their seal the day and date above mentioned.
