Elmer (Hick) Gilvin, 71, Paris, husband of Mrs. Frances M. Gilvin died Monday night at the Bourbon County Hospital. 

He was a native of Montgomery County and a retired employee of Clarborne Farm, Paris.

Surviving other than his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Wagoner, a son-in-law, Robert Wagoner, step-mother, Mrs. Charles Gilvin, a brother, Howard Gilvin, New Jersey, three sisters, Mrs. Arnold Dale and Mrs. Robert Shaw and Mrs. Clark Dale; four grandchildren, one great-grandson.

Services will be conducted by Rev. Russell Ice, Friday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. Thursday.
