Deed Bk A, p 127, 128 This Indenture made this 21st day of January in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Ninety four Between Benjamin ROBERTS and Anna his wife of the County of Shelby and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and William GLEN of the same County and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of twenty pounds Current Money to him the said Benjamin ROBERTS in hand paid by the said William GLEN the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged The said Benjamin ROBERTS and Anna his wife have granted bargained and sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents to grant bargain and sell alien and confirm unto the said William GLEN his Heirs and Assigns forever One hundred and seventy acres of Land situate in the County aforesaid on the waters of Beech Creek the same being a part of a Thirty thousand Tract patented to James PATTON Mark THOMAS and Benjamin POPE and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at a Beech and gum and Ext ending thence South fifty five degrees East two hundred and twelve poles to a Beech sugar Tree and Elm, thence south forty eight degrees West forty poles to two Beeches, thence South fifty five degrees East thirty eight poles to two Beeches and Elm, thence North forty eight degrees East one hundred and forty three poles to an ash Ironwood and Beech thence North fifty five degrees West two hundred and Seventy poles to three sugar trees thence South thirty four degrees West one hundred poles to the Beginning With hit appurtenances To have and to hold the said one hundred and seventy acres of Land and all and singular the premises above mentioned together with the appurtenances unto the said William GLEN his Heirs and assigns forever.
