Mr. Godsey had been in very poor health for the past year and a half. Mr. Godsey was the son of Shade and Tilda Abbott Godsey. He was born April 17, 1880 in Wayne County. After his marriage to Abbie Neely, he moved to McCreary County and reared a family of six children. He was a farmer and night- watched for the Stearns Company for 32 years. Mr. Godsey was a member of West Appletree Baptist Church. he belonged to the Modern Woodmen and also to the Junior order. Mr. Godsey was a quiet, friendly man and a respected citizen in his community. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Abbie Godsey, and daughters, Mrs. Mary Hardin, Tennessee; Mrs. Minnie Neal, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Ethel Strunk, Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Myrtle Ball, Bethel; Mrs. Ollie Mae Wright, Florida and a son Robert, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Arch Angle and a brother, Corneliius Godsey, both of Stearns. Funeral services were held at West Appletree Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Christmas day with Rev.
