Deed Bk C, p 325, 326 This Indenture made this 2nd day of March 1807 between George BELL and Nancy BELL his wife of the one part and Isaac GOODEN of the County of Hardin and State of Kentucky of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of hundred pounds to him the sd George in hand paid by the said Isaac GOODWIN the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and conveyed hath granted Bargained and sold and by these presents doth Grant bargain and sell unto the said Isaac GOODIN all that tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being in Sovrins Valley Hardin County, containing by ____ ____ Eighty acres be the same more or less being part of the tract of 500 acres Entered Surveyed and Pattented in the name of Osborn SPRIGG and by said SPRIGG by his deed of Bargain and sale bearing date the 13th day in May 1789 conveyed to Ralph HUMPHRIES and ___ of Recd in the County Court of Nelson and by George W. HUMPHREIES lawfull Heir and representative of sd Ralph HUMPHRIES Convey by deed of Bargain and sale to sd George BELL and bounded as follows, Viz. Beginning at a dogwood and Black Gum South east corner to Saml GOODINS 120 acre Survey part of sd 500 acre tract running thence north 70 degrees east 64 poles to two dogwoods in the edge of the BARRINS South East corner to the sd 500 acre Survey thence with the Original line North 20 degrees west 200 poles to 2 white oaks another corner of the original Corners thence with the original line South 70 west 64 poles to a hickory & black oak corner to Saml GOODINS 100 acre survey thence with his line South 20 east 200 poles to the Beginning. Containing eighty acres be the same more or less with all profits Commodities 7 advantages Heretowith and appurtenances whatsoever to the said Isaac GOODWIN to have and to hold the sd mentioned tract or parcel of land and every part or parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Isaac GOODEN his heirs and assigns forever and the sd George BELL and Nancy his wife and against all or any other for the only proper use and behoof of him the sd Isaac GOODEN his heirs and assigns forever and the said Geo BELL and Nancy his wife for themselves their heirs the sd eighty acres of Land and every part and parcel thereof agt them the sd George BELL and Nancy his wife and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever to the said Isaac GOODEN his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first before written George BELL [seal] Nancy BELL [seal] Hardin County Sct I Benjamin HELM Clerk of the County Court of the County aforesaid, do hereby certify that on the day of the date of the withing Indenture George BELL and Nancy his wife personally appeared before me and acknowledge the within Indenture of Bargain and sale and She the said Nancy at the same time being examined by me separate and apart from her said husband said She freely and voluntarily relinquished her right of Dower in and to the land hereby conveyed In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 7th day of April 1807.
