HARRODSBURG -- Ellen G. Graham, 84, Runyon Road, Harrodsburg, died Thursday
at Charleston Health Care Center.
Born Oct. 7, 1918, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late F.T.
and Katie Adkinson Gardner. She was a graduate of Transylvania University, a
retired teacher for Mercer County Schools, worked for the child welfare
department and was one of the first Community Action Directors. She was
instrumental in the development of West Lane Park. She was the widow of
Elmer R. Graham and member of Cornishville Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Perkins of Danville and Janet
Fishman of Bellaire, Fla., and four grandsons.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don
Benningfield. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Sims Jr., Mousie and Dennis Coslaw, LaRue Huffman,
Claude Russell and David J. Perkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be her former students.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
