DOROTHY GREENE
 
    Dorothy Greene of Greenup formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee died Wednesday 
July 2, 2003 at the home of her sister Anna L. Bowling, East main St., Greenup 
County.
    Ms. Greene was born April 26, 1924 in Bell County, Kentucky, a daughter of 
the late Arthur and Glessie Thompson Greene.
    She was retired from Travlers Insurance Co., attended the Greenup United 
Methodist Church, was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Soriety Chapter Laureate 
Upsilon and a life member of the Tennessee dental assistants association and a 
Kentucky Colonel.
    In addition to her sister also surviving are two nephews Arthur Allen 
Bowling, Fort Brag, North Carolina, and Eddie Bowling, Greenup.  Two neices- Jane Bransom, Lexington, Kentucky, Lynn Bates, Williamstown, Kentucky.  One 
great neice-Ashley Ann Bowling, one great nephew, Alex Ryan Bowling, and a 
special friend-Nina Lyon, Greenup.
    Funeral services were held Saturday at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens 
Mausoleum in Flatwoods.
    Reed Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
