McGinnis - Armstead Greenwood January 14 1861 Boyle-Franklin County KyArchives Deed Written: January 14 1861 Recorded: January 25 1862 Deed Book 8, page 87 This Indenture, Witnesseth; That for and in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, we Armstead Greenwood and Elizabeth Greenwood his wife, of Franklin County, State of Kentucky have bargained and sold, and do hereby alien and convey to Saml R. McGinnis, of Boyle County, State of Kentucky, the following described property, to wit, One certain Lot No. 63 or parcel of ground, situate, lying and being in the county of Boyle and State of Kentucky, and bounded as follows: On the South Side by the Danville & Perryville Turnpike & on on the east by Cross Street running between said Lot and the property now owned by W. C. Campbell, on the north by the property of Mrs. B. F. Turpin on the West by the property of the Said Mrs. Turpin and the property of James Vinsen, containing one half acre be the same more or less, together with all its appurtenances and improvements, To have and to hold to Sd Saml. R. McGinnis and his heirs &c forever. And We Said Armstead Greenwood & Elizabeth his wife do hereby covenant and agree with Sd Saml. R. McGinnis for ourselves, our heirs &c that we will warrant & defend to him & to his heirs &c the title to said Lot [too dark to read] appurtenances against all claims whatsoever. Rennick, Clerk of the County Court for the county of Franklin, do certify that the foregoing Deed from A. Greenwood & Elizabeth Greenwood his wife to Saml. R. McGinnis, was this day produced to me in my office, and was acknowledged by the said A. Greenwood & Elizabeth Greenwood to be their act and deed, and the same is certified to the proper office for record. Witness my hand as Clerk, this 14 day of January 1861. A. H. Greenwood and Elizabeth Greenwood his wife to Saml. R. McGinnis was on the 24 day of January 1862, produced to me in my office by the grantee and ordered to record. Whereupon Said Deed, together with the certificate of the Clerk of Franklin County Court thereto attached, and this Certificate, hath been duly recorded in Said office, this 25th day of January 1861.
