Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 12 Feb 1896
"MR. CHARLES S. GREER, better known as "Uncle Burr", died at his home on 
Sinking creek near Hays, last Friday. He was in his eighty-ninth year, and was 
one of the best nown men in the western part of the county. He leaves and wife 
and several children, all of whom are grown, among them are Lawyer John N. 
Greer, of Bon Ayr."
