GREER, the next youngest child of the family of James and Elizabeth (Milton) Greer, was born on the farm where he now resides, February 9, 1842. He was reared on the homestead farm and received a good common education in the schools of his native county of Nelson. October 23, 1873, his marriage with Miss Kate W. Watts was solemnized, and to their union seven children have been born, of which these four are now living: Mattie W., Minnie L., Bessie C. and Richard J. Our subject has always followed farming with uniform success, and is the proprietor of a fine, well improved farm of over 248 acres, situated on the Bardstown and Bloomfield pike. He and wife are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. In politics he is a Democrat.
