He had been ill for several months prior to his death./ The deceased was born September 13, 1914, at Slavens, and was a life- long resident of the same community. He was a son of the late Bud Gregory and Emma Vaughn Gregory. He followed the occupation of coal mining and farming./ The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Odell Gregory, six children, Elbert, Roy, Eugene and Earnest Gregory, all of Attica, Ind.; Homer and Lois Gregory, Slavens; a step-son, Elmer Roberts, Slavens; four brothers Skyler, Edison and Coolidge Gregory of Slavens and Guy Gregory of Stearns; and three sisters, Mrs. Dova Roberts, Laura and Versa Gregory, all of Slavens./ Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Cedar Grove Baptist Church, of which church he was a member with Rev. Hobert Vaughn of Stearns and Rev. Dewey Spradlin of Pine Knot officiating. Burial was in the Gregory Cemetery at Slavens.
