        Bardwell, Ky., May 3. -- (AP)  Mrs Alice Grissom, 70, was dead today
and her son, Robert Grissom, 40, was critically burned in a fire which
trapped them in their home here last night.
        Mrs Grissom was believed safe outside, but her body was found later
in ruins of the home.
        Grissom was said to have awakened too late to escape the flames.
