Deed Book A p. 440 This Indenture made this 28 day of May one thousand Seven hundred and ninety nine between Robert Vezey ALEXANDER, Robert HODGEN & William BROWNFIELD, Guardians appointed by the county court of Hardin under the Act of Assembly to the infant heirs of George HINCH Deceased James NOURSE, James WATKINS and Jonathan STACKS One of the One Part and Christian HAHN of Bairds town in the County of Nelson on the other part. Witnesseth that in Consequence of a bond given by George HINCH by his agent Joseph BOZORTH bearing Date the twenty third Day of Octobert one thousand Seven hundred and eighty eight and of articles of agreement bearing date the twenty Fourth Day of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty six which said Bond agreement is affixed hereto, We the said Robert Vezey ALEXANDER, Robert HODGEN and William [BROWNFIELD] Guardians, have granted bargained and sold and by virtue of the power vested in us by the Court of Hardin County do grant Bargain sell alien and Confirm unto the said Christian, assignee of James NOURSE, who was assignee of James WATKINS who was assignee of Jonathan STARKS to whom the bond aforesaid was Given by the said BOZORTH as agent for said HINCH for one Hundred acres and to the said Christian HAHN assignee of said James NOURSE who was assignee of Henry FOSTER who was assignee of Michael TEATS with whom the said George HEINCH entered into said agreement for an other hundred acres to the said George as assignee of Philip PHILIPS by the State of Virginia bearing Date the twenty second day of June one thousand Seven hundred and eighty six lying and situate on the head waters of Watkins Run, a north Branch of Nolin then in Jefferson County and bounded as follows To Wit: Beginning at two white oaks marked JH and PP on the line of Joseph KIRKPATRICKs two hundred acre Survey and on the west side said run by the road leading from Barnett's Station to Nolin running thence along KIRKPATRICK's line South forty one degrees East fifty poles to a stake in the Barrens thence north twenty nine Degrees East two hundred and eighty two poles to a White Oak thence North Sixty one degrees West one hundred and twenty eight poles Crossing both the main head branches of said run to a Stake in the Barrens thence South twenty nine Degrees west two hundred and thirty five Poles to a stake in said KIRKPATRICK's line thence with the same South forty One Degrees East Ninety poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its appertenances to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Christian HAHN his heirs and assigns for ever - and the said Robert Vezey, Robert and William, Guardians of the said Infants and by virtue of the powers given to us Do Convey to said Christian all the right, title and Intrest of the Heirs of said George and the said James WATKYNS, Jonathan STARKS and James NOURSE do covenant to and with the said Christian that the said one hundred acres under the said bond and new Deed by Virtue therof they will warrant and defend against said heirs and all claiming in by through and under them and all other persons whatsoever and the said James NOURSE for the said remining other one hundred acres will warrant and defend the same from all Claiming in by through or under the said heirs and all other persons whatsoever - Given under our hands and Seals the Day and date above mentioned.
