Deposition of Benjamin Hardin

The affidavit of Benjamin Hardin Taken at said time and place this 
deponent after being first sworn deposeth & saith.  

Question by James McELROY  how long have you had knowledge of this 
trace  

Answer 	about April 1780.  I had information of a trace leading through 
this Course but never traveled it any further than the place called the 
Gravelly Lick.

Question by same - do you know anything of a trace leading from the 
Gravelly Lick as Spoken of by Thomas DENTON above

Answer	I know of a Small trace leading from said lick about a mile _ I 
know nothing of it any further.

Question by same   Did you know of any trace leading from the Beach fork 
to Hardins Lick or any other place in pleasant Run except this trace

Answer	I did not further Saith not

We the subscribers do hereby Certify that we attended James McELORY at 
this Special place called for in the Entry mentioned in the above 
Deposition and were present when the Said deposition were taken and sworn to 
and that we cut the initial letter of our names on some trees Standing 
at the place Given under our hands the date above mentioned.
