Glasgow (KY) Weekly TImes, 18 July, 1878.
"DIED -- July 10th, 1878, Miss Marcella Harlow, daughter of Mr. B. F. Harlow, near Glasgow, Ky., aged fifteen years, seven months and twenty-two days.

"Marcella was a plain, quiet, modest, unobtrusive girl; she was sincere, consistent and firm. In the cirle of her friends, which she did not seek to enlarge, she was highly esteemed and loved. Just merging into womanhood, with bright and joyous hopes to bind her to earth, so sad to think she is suddenly called away. She was a great sufferer for a many long and weary weeks, but bore her painful sickness with much patience and fortitude. The years will come and go slowly by in their endless march, I feel, ere any of us can reconcile ourselves to the belief that the taking away of that sweet, familiar face, the silencing of that voice, was through "our loss her gain". It would have been a joy to us all if God had permitted her to remain yet for a time with us. May the Lord sanctify this deep affliction to the hearts of the bereaved. A DEAR FRIEND."
