Born May 10, 1924, in Tennessee, he was a son of the late Ike and Ida Drucilla Smith Harmon. He was a retired, self-employed truck driver and a member of Mayo Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty D. Harmon; a son, James "Buster" Allen Harmon of Pikeville, Tenn.; two daughters, Holly Harmon of Harrodsburg and Brenda Hodge of Sale Creek, Tenn.; three stepsons, Steve and Mike Ransdell, both of Salvisa, and Danny Ransdell of Lawrenceburg; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Jerry Perry. Burial will be in Mayo Christian Cemetery. Visitation is before the service today. Pallbearers are Stephen, Timmy, Jason and Justin Ransdell, Brian Sallee and Tracy Hodge. Memorials may go to Mayo Christian Church Building Fund.
