Witnesseth that the said Richard Dickens does for and in consideration of eighty dollars to him in hand paid, by the said Cuthbert Harrison sell and aliene to the said Cuthbert Harrison, all the apparatus belonging to his Shop as Hatter, (Viz) a large Copper kittle, an iron kittle, two ____ a pair of flat irons, thirty six hat blocks a firkin a bucket, a stiffening box, three brushed & -our cards, likewise a set of bowed logs rafters shingles & lathes, now in Springfield all the above enumerated articles the said Dickens does by these presents bona fide sell and Dispose of to the aforesaid Cuthbert Harrison But it is the true intent & meaning of the parties (as this indenture is intended as a mortgage of capital security to the said Harrison) that of the said Dickens should well and truly pay to the said Harrison the sum of eighty Dollars on or before the first day of July 1805, that then the tenor of this Indenture to be null & void otherwise to remain in full force & Virtue in Testimony whereof we hereunto affixed our hands and Seals on the day and Year aforesaid.
