DEED: Baker, 1799, Fleming Co INDENTURE FOR LAND JOSHUA BAKER/JOSEPH HARROW 16 NOVEMBER 1799 This Indenture made and entered into between Joshua Baker of Jefferson County and State of Kentucky of the one part and John Harrow of Mason County and state aforsaid of the other part that the said Joshua Baker have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do also confirm unto the said Harrow a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County of Fleming cantaining five hundred acres by survey of the same more or less and bounded as follows. Beginning at the mouth of a small branch at a mulberry, blackberry, and elm corner to Jos. Farrows preemption thence with the line of that said preemption south 29 degrees west 320 poles to an ash & white oak on the east side of a branch, south eighty one degrees east 282 poles to two sugar trees, hence north 29 degrees east 304 poles to a beach and oak on the bank of the said creek, thence down the meanders of the same to the beginning, for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pound to me the said Joshua Baker in hand paid by the same John Harrow the receipt of which I do hereby acknowledge, and do further warrent and defend the said five hundred acres of said land to the said John Harrow and his heirs forever from me and my heirs forever John Baker and his heirs and from all others whatever claiming by or under me in any manner: and also from all persons claiming or hereafter to claim under the said John Baker.
