OBITUARY LEMUEL HENDREN The Death Angel visited our community and took from us one of our beloved citizens, Lemuel Hendren, son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Hendren. He was born December 8, 1857, died March 12, 1934 being 76 years 3 months and 4 days of age at the time of his death. He was married to Alice Rider in 1884. To this union six children were born, four girls and two boys, Ella, Anna, Corene, one daughter dying in infancy, Phil and Orville. He was a victim of a paralytic stroke Saturday morning. The day before he was called home, he spent the day in prayer and song. He united with the Paint Lick Baptist Church in 1882 and remained a faithful member until the time of his death. Besides leaving his lovely wife and children to morn his passing he leaves one sister, Mrs. Lee West of Jackson Landing, three brothers, Charlie, Phil, and William Hendren of Jackson Landing, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He had been in failing health for some time. Funeral services were conducted at the Paint Lick Baptist Church March 15, at 2 o’clock in charge of Rev.
