OBIT: Henry, 1923 - Nicholas Co JOHN W. HENRY Mr. John W. Henry, aged 76 years, died at St. Joseph's hospital in Lexington Saturday night, following an operation for appendicitis. Mr. Henry was taken to the Lexington hospital a few days before and a light hope for his recovery were entertained. The body was brought to his home in this city from which place funeral services were held Monday morning, conducted by Rev. F. M. Tinder, of North Middletown, assisted by Rev. R. E. Elmore. Mr. Henry was a life long resident of Nicholas County and until a year or two ago was a farmer, having moved to town about a year ago. He was well known throughout the county and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Miranda Hazelrigg Henry, five daughters, Mrs. Harry Stanaifer of Pasadena, California; Mrs. Ben Alexander, Mrs. Turner Thomas, Mrs. W. G. Turner and Miss Lida Henry, all of this city; Abner, J. R., F. B., Ben T. and George Henry, all of this county, and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Squires and Mrs. R. W. Dazell, both of this county.
