Mr. Hensley was born January 7, 1935 in Bell County, KY, the son of the late Albert Hensley and the late Pauline Valentine Hensley. He was a retired truck driver and believed in the Pentecostal faith. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Left to morn his passing are the following members of his family: His wife, Mrs. Shirley Collett Hensley of Paris, KY; eight daughters, Dena Hensley, Vicki Hensley, Cindy Hensley all of Cincinnati, OH., Vicki Sue (Carl) Jordan Burke of Middlesboro, Meloney Pridemore of Pineville, Angela Hensley of Paris, KY., Michelle (Allen) of New Tazwell, TN and Terri (Gary) LeFevers of Pineville; five sons; Harold (Cathy) Hensley and Earl Hensley of Cleveland, OH. Eugene (Kathy) Collett of Pineville, Earl Dean Hensley, Jr., of Paris, KY and Ronnie Hensley of Carlisle, KY.; two brothers, Roy (Phyllis) Hensley of Brooksville, FL, Ronald Hensley of Cleveland, OH; two sisters, Nancy (Paul) Crawford of Menifee, CA amd Barbara (Lyle) Gilbert of Marysville, CA; one aunt, Nancy Valentine of Pineville, 38 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a host of other relatives and loved ones. Funeral services for Mr. Hensley were conducted on Tuesday, December 21, 2002 at Creech-Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Dillard Valentine, Carl Jordan, William Collett and John F. Collett officiating. Burial followed in the Pineville Cemetery at Pineville, KY. Pallbearers were Michael Jordan, Eric Jordan, Harold Dean Hensley, Jr., Matthew Hensley, Richard Eugene Collett, Cousin Billy Ray Valentine. Honorary pallbearers were Arthur E. Jackson, Donnie Collett, Jimmie Collett, Walter Collett, Bruce Bennett, Lige Cox and Kirby Lay. Family received friends on Monday evening at Creech-Durham Funeral Home Chapel. Creech-Durham Funeral Home of Pineville in charge of arrangements.
