WILL: Henton, 1862, Daviess Co. State of Kentucky County of Daviess. The last will & Testament of George Henton of the State of Kentucky & County of Daviess. I George Henton considering the uncertainty of this mortal life & being of sound mind & memory, do make & publish this my last will and Testament, in manner & form following (that is to say) First I hereby constitute Guy B. Henton & John N. Henton to be sole Executors of this my last Will and directing my said Executors to pay all my just debts & funeral expenses & the legacies herein after given out of my estate, first I give and bequeath unto my oldest son Guy B. Henton & his heirs my home residence consisting - acres of land lying on the waters of North Panther Creek. I will & bequeath unto J. N. Henton & his heirs a certain tract or parcel of land lying south of North Panther Creek adjoining said adjoining J. N. Henton containing sixty-one & a half acres for which said tract or parcel of land said John N. Henton has a deed given by Joseph Allen. Further the said John N. Henton is to have a portion off of the southern portion of my home residence to make him equal in number of acres to Guy B. Henton, a reserve of the stone quarry of which Guy B. Henton is to have free access to a portion for his special benefit during his life. I will & bequeath unto Thomas H. Henton , one hundred acres of land lying in the forks of Panther Creek in the State of Kentucky, County of Daviess, his heir for which he has a deed the value of which I consider equal to Guy B. Henton & John N. Henton. I therefore will that to be Thomas H. Henton & his heirs equal share or interest in all my estate. As to my black boy, Robin, I will that he remain on the premises until he is twenty-one years old then to belong to Guy B. Henton & John N. Henton & their heirs respectively forever and lastly, as to all the rest residue & remainder of my personal estate goods & chattels of what kind soever, I give and bequeath the same to my Executors whom I appoint my sole Executors of this my last will & testament. In witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty ninth day of Oct. eighteen hundred & sixty-one in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & sixty one. B. Ashby the subscribing witnesses thereto, thereupon the same is ordered to record as and for the last Will & Testament of said decedent, and the same with this certificate, has been duly recorded in my office.
