W. HESLER DIES OF ACCIDENTAL SHOT Chester William HESLER, age 43, died of an accidental gunshot wound on June 24, 1960 at his home near Union Star (Breckinridge County), Ky. J. H. Trent said evidence pointed to the gun having discharged when he slipped on the grass and fell. He was born on February 28, 1917, the son of James Thomas HESLER and Mary Emma KROUSH. He was married to Miss Mildred AVITT on July 3, 1939. To this union four children were born. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a devoted husband and father, having spent most of his life as a farmer. He was known as the community barber. Surviving him are: His wife, Mrs. Mildred HESLER his children: Darryl HESLER Linda HESLER Sheila HESLER Phillip HESLER one brother: Woodrow HESLER, Payneville (Meade County), Ky. three sisters: Mrs. Mayme ELDER, Louisville (Jefferson County), Ky. Mrs. Virginia DUGAN, Ekron (Meade County), Ky. Miss Elizabeth HESLER, Ekron his grandmother: Mrs. Mary S. KROUSH (no residence given) A number of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends. The funeral was held on June 26, 1960 from the Payneville Baptist Church, and burial at Union Star Cemetery.
