He was born June 1, 1892 near Sample (Breckinridge County), Ky., the son of the late Logan and Sallie ROBBINS HICKERSON. He was a Veteran of World War I, served as Commander of his American Legion Post, Past President of the Breckinridge County Sportsman Club, was at one time Master of Masonic Lodge #67, was a Shriner, member of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving him are: his wife, the former Miss Agnes WALLS one son: William L. HICKERSON, Norfolk, Virginia one daughter: Mrs. Sallie MOORE, Agerdeen, Maryland six brothers: John HICKERSON, Hardinsburg, Ky. Judson HICKERSON, Galesburg, Illinois Morris HICKERSON, Sample, Ky. Finley HICKERSON, Louisville (Jefferson County), Ky. Stanley HICKERSON, Louisville, Ky. J. J. HICKERSON, Louisville, Ky. three sisters: Mrs. Grace ROBBINS, Hardinsburg, Ky. Mrs. Hettie DOWELL, Hardinsburg, Ky. Mrs. Mamie MILLER, Hardinsburg, Ky. The funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at the Hardinsburg Methodist Church, under the direction of the Dowell Funeral Home of Hardinsburg. Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery in Hardinsburg.
