GROVER HICKS DEAD. Mr. G. C. Hicks, one of the leading and substantial farmers of the county, died at his home in Austin Monday night of pneumonia, following influenza. He was in his thirty-fourth year. "Mr. Hicks was one of Barren's best and most prominent citizens, and his death is a distinct loss. He was a man of high standards, a true friend, and a man of positive character. "He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mr. W. T. iIcks, of Wildie, Ky.; Mrs. Tom Harston, of this place; Mrs. Will Martin, Mr. J. L. Hicks, Mr. Jeff Hicks, Miss Minnie Hicks, all of the Austin section, and Mrs. Nat Claypool, of Cave City. "The interment was in the Glasgow cemetery, after funeral services by Rev. G. R. Payne, of Burkesville."
