Tho. W. Mitchell CJCC I do not know anything of his condition during his service. When did you first see him after his discharge. I saw him a very short time after. Think no more than a few days after. What – if any trouble or disease did he have when you first saw him after his discharge. I do not know what his disease was. He was then very weak & not able to work any. He then had a bad cough and was very thin in flesh. Have you known of him having any other trouble except this cough since his discharge. All I know is by his appearance & what – he told me – I have seen him at different times. When he was unable to get up and when he looked very wild. Which he claimed was the results of having fitts. I have never seen him have any but have no doubt he does have them often. Do you know whether this clients Father or Mother or any of his brothers or sisters was ever afflicted with seopala(?) epilefmy(?) or any disease of the lungs. I know his Father & Mother both lived to be old people about – eighty years – Were always in good health so far as I know. Had no brothers or sisters troubled with any such disease that – I ever heard of. How much of the time since his discharge has this client – been disabled each year in ______ of this cough & lung trouble. Taking that – trouble and his other afflictions of having fitts which I am satisfied he has he has not been able to do any work. He worked some when not able. I do not think he has been so he could work any ____ of his time, I am no relation & have no interest. Pleasant Johnson Depanour (spelling ?)
