Mrs. Lorena K. Hinton, age 89, of Bishop SoenneckerHome in Knottsville, 
formerly of Cloverport, died Sunday, December 16, 2001 at Owensboro Mercy 
Health System.  Born in Evansville, IN on November 28, 1912, Mrs. Hinton was 
the daughter of the late John Russell Keenan and Mary Jackson Keenan.  She was 
a member of the Cloverport Baptist Church.  Her husband, Vessie W. Hinton, 
preceded her in death November 16, 1993. 
Surviving are two sons, William Howard Hinton and Michael Thomas Hinton, both 
of Owensboro; a daughter, Shirley Pate, Irvington; two brothers, John Russell 
Keenan Jr., Louisville, Larry Keenan, Balltown; a sister, Lula K. Steen, 
Louisville; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-graet- 
grandchildren. 
The funeral will be held at 1pm Wednesday, December 19, at the Cloverport 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Shacklett officiating.  Burial will be in 
Tar Fork Christian Cemetery near Balltown under the direction of Wallace 
Funeral Home, Cloverport.  Pallbearers will be Bradley Hinton, Mark Hinton, 
David Blakeman, Jamie pate, Lynn Pate, and Billy Hinton.
