Madisonville, Ky-- Edward Hogue, 80, Madisonville, formerly of Carmi, Ill,
died Tuesday Feb 24, 1998, Madisonville. Born Aug 29, 1917, Carbondale,
Ill, s/o late George Washington Hogue and Nora Karakter Hogue. Member of
Carmi First Baptist Church since mid 1950s. Marines veteran of WWII,
received Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and Victory Medal. Survived by wife
Clara Chastain Hogue, Madisonville; son Val E Hogue, Manitou, Ky; stepson
Don Hollingsworth, Evansville, Ind; sisters Daisy Copeland, Marion, Ill;
Mary Gibson, Centralia, Ill; Margaret Biggs, Des Plaines, Ill; brother G W
Hogue, Marion; 2 grdau; 2 step-grch; 2 step-g-grch. Services Feb 26, 1998,
Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, Madisonville, Rev. Eddie Fleming officiating
and burial Concord Cemetery, Manitou.
