Herald 1950 THOMAS D. HOLLAND Thomas Daniel Holland, 35, a maintaince man for the Chesapeaks and Ohio Railway Company at Garrison, died at 3:40 p.m. Sunday, in the C & O Hospital at Huntington, W. Va. A native of Mason County, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Holland, of the Mason-Lewis Road. Mr. Holland, father of four children rangeing in age from five to eleven years, was taken to the hospital April 25 to be treated for a heart condition. His condition was serious from the outset. Mr. Holland had been living in Garrison two years. A member of the Concord Christian Church, the young man was a devoted husband and father and was highly regarded by his fellow employees and other friends. At his passing all who knew him will feel sincerest sympathy for the bereaved family. On August 24, 1936, he married Miss Mildred Spriggs, of Concord. Besides his widow, his parents and the four children, he leaves three sisters and four brothers. The services were conducted from the Concord Christian Church, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. H. M. Reeder, retired Christian clergyman of Tollesboro. Burial was in the Concord Cemetery.
