WILL: Hollaway, 1821, Estill Co Will Of John Hollaway May 8, 1821 Submitted by the ECHGS Reprinted with their permission In the name of God, Amen. I John Hollaway, Sr., of Estill County and State of Kentucky being of sound mind and memory thanks be to almighty God for the same and knowing that it is appointed for all men to die, make this my last will and testament in manner and form following: 1st I desire to comment my soul to God the giver thereof. 2nd My funeral expenses and just debts paid 3rd I give unto my daughter Femozin Russel, one negro girl named Panthesy, also one negro man named Jack, to be her and her heirs for ever. 4th I give to my son, Gegory Hollaway, one negro boy named Smith, also old Nelly and Delsey and her child, if she has any one, to be his and his heirs for ever. 5th I give my son John Hollaway, negro Mariah, also Sal and Frank for him and heir heirs for ever. 6th I give unto my daughter Sarah Jackson, one negro girl named Ginetta, also a negro man named Ben to be hers and her heirs for ever. 7th I give unto my daughter Rachel Genings, one negro boy named Kelly to be her and her heirs for ever. 8th I give unto my grandson James Morton, fifty dollars cash for him and his heirs for ever. 9th I give unto my granddaughter Mary Morton, fifty dollars cash for her and heir heirs for ever. 10th It is my desire that the balance of my estate to be sold by my Executors to pay the just debts as before mentioned and the balance equally divided between my two sons and three daughters. Lastly, I constitute and ppoint my two sons, Gregory Hollaway and John Hollaway, Executors of this my last Will and Testament here by revoking all other and former wills and testaments by me heretofore made.
