HOPPER November 4, 1903 Hancock County KyArchives Obituaries Breckinridge News, Cloverport, Ky., Wednesday, November 11, 1903 OBITUARY Page 1 TWO SETTLERS DEAD -- Lewisport, Ky November 6, 1903 (Special) Lewisport, Kentucky has lost two of its oldest citizens this week. Mr. B. J. HOPPER died on Saturday, October 31, 1903 in his 83rd year, and on Wednesday, November 4, 1903, his devoted wife died of the ripe old age of 81. Mr. and Mrs. HOPPER were two of the first settlers of the town. They are survived by two daughters, Lizzie HOPPER & America HOPPER, who conduct a millinery shop here. Mr. HOPPER was buried at the Lewisport City Cemetery on Sunday, November 1, 1903, and Mrs. HOPPER was laid to rest by his side on Thursday, November 5, 1903. Mr. HOPPER was in the tobacco prizing business for a number of years, since which time, he had been farming.
