HUBERT HOSKINS

	Hubert Hoskins, 77, of Balkan, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2003 
at the Pineville Community Hospital.  He was born August 14, 1926 in Bell 
County a son of the late John Hoskins and Maudie Lee Nichols.  He had been a 
coal miner.
	In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten brothers 
and sisters.
	Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Opal Cheek Hoskins and 
children, Judy (Tim) Carter of Maryville, MI; Donnie (Ann) Hoskins of Brownies 
Creek, Liz (JL) Boatright of Brownies Creek, Gary (Jenny) Hoskins of Georgia; 
Johnny Hoskins (Alma Jackson) of Middlesboro, Sharon Hoskins (Mike Scalf) of 
Pineville, Josie Mills (Scott Wilder) of Pineville and Hubert Jr. Hoskins of 
Middlesboro; 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; brother John Hoskins of 
Michigan, sisters Laura Hoskins of Harlan and Ica Cox of Michigan and a host 
of nieces, nephews and friends.
	Memorial services were Wednesday at the Balkan Cemetery with Rev. 
David Gibbons.  Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve 
the Hoskins Family.
