Teeter - Joseph Hubbard October 15, 1833 Garrard County KyArchives Deed Written: October 15, 1833 Recorded: October 15, 1833 Garrard County, Kentucky Deed Book L, page 188 This Indenture made and entered into this 15th day of October in the year our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and thirty three, between Joseph Hubbard and Elizabeth Hubbard his wife of Garrard County and State of Kentucky of the one part and Clabourn C. Teeter of the County and State afsd. of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Joseph and Elizabeth Hubbard for and in consideration of the sum of Eight Hundred and Sixty dollars current money of the State of Kentucky to them in hand paid by the said C. C. Teeter the receipt whereof they the said Joseph and Elizabeth Hubbard doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said C. C. Teeter his heirs or assigns forever, one certain tract or parcel of land containing by survey one Hundred and thirty Eight acres 2 roods and 35 poles lying in Garrard County on the waters of Montgomerys fork of Scotts fork of Sugar Creek, Bounded as follows to wit, Beginning at an ash tree and honey Locust tree thence S13°E 54½ poles to a Sugar tree corner to Bomount thence S74W 94 poles to a stake near a white ask and poplar thence S94 poles to a Lynn and Sugar tree in William Bomount's line thence N41½W 109 poles to a Sugar tree and ash Reeds corner thence N9W 90 poles to a beech and sugar tree Carriers corner on Montgomerys fork thence N53E 60 poles to a hickory tree in a branch thence with the branch E 96 poles to a hickory tree, thence S23½E 4¼ poles to a hickory tree thence N76E 40 poles to a Sugar tree and walnut stump thence S10W 96 poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the same tract or parcel of land and premises with all and evry of its appurtanances to the said C. C. Teeter his heirs & assigns forever the said Joseph and Elizabeth Hubbard his wife for themselves their heirs Exors adr. & assigns do warrent and forever defend the tract or parcel of land with its appurtanances to the said C. C. Teeter his heirs and assigns agt. the claim or all and evry person or persons whatever. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals, the day and Year first above written. Teeter was produced to me in my office on the 15th day of October 1833 and ackn'd by the said Hubbard to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and the said Elizabeth his wife being by me examined privaly and apart from her said husband declared that she did freely and willingly sign seal and deliver the writing, and acknowledged the said writing again shown and explained to be her act and deed and wishes not to retract it and consenteth that the same may be recorded, whereupon the same is truly admitted to record.
