The Sun Pineville, KY February 23, 1912
Hugh Meredith, who shot and killed Andy Saylor at his (Meredith's) home near 
Knuckles last ..... and who was on trial in the Circuit Court when we went to 
press last week, was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter by the jury. The 
penalty is an indeterminate sentence of from two to twenty-one years in the 
penitentiary.

Meredith's attorneys have filed motion and grounds for a new trial, which will 
probably be overturned and the case will be taken to the Court of Appeals.
