It will be remembered that Meredith killed a man named Saylor at his (Meredith's) home near Knuckles. From the reports we had at the time of the killing, it looked to be a clear case of self defense. Meredith has been in jail since his trial, and his attorneys will now ask the Court to release him on bond until a second trial is had.
