Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 13 May 1896.
"Mrs. Maggie Hurt, wife of Thomas Hurt, died at her home out in the Barren 
river country, Sunday, the 3rd inst. She was buried by undertaker Garrison on 
Monday morning.

"Rev. J. W. Spillman and A. P. Durham conducted the funeral services. Mrs. Hurt 
we understand was a good christian woman, a member of the Baptist church and 
has gone to her reward. She leave many friends who mourn their loss."
