Edward (Ed) Wilson Idyle, a former coal miner, of Pineville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 30, 2001 at Pineville Community Hospital. He was 90. Funeral service for Rev. Idyle will be 2 p.m. Thursday May 2, 2001 at Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Boyd Bingham, Rev. George Neal and Rev. Gary Grubbs officiating. Music will be provided by Ollie Stewart, Gary Grubbs, Joyce Cox, Ron Hensley and Billie Roop. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, East Pineville. Pallbearers will be preachers from the church. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Collins, Vernon Stewart and Dr. Steve Morgan. In addition to his parents, Than Idyle and Maudie Hoskins Idyle, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, George and Willard Idyle; and two sisters, Daisy Idyle Davidson and Virgie Idyle Wilson. Rev. Edward Wilson Idyle was born May 11, 1910 in Bell County, Kentucky. He was a coal miner and a minister of the Pentecostal faith. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Effie Idyle, Pineville, KY; one brother, Albert Idyle, Warren, MI; and a host of nieces and nephews. Durham Funeral Home, Pineville, Kentucky was in charge of arrangements.
