17 March 1828 Thomas INGRAM and Mary his wife of the County of Spencer and 
State of Kentucky to John HOWSER of the County and state aforesaid... for and 
in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid and 
granted bargained and conveyed a certain tract Situate lying in the county of 
Spencer including the residence of the said INGRAM and bounded by CURD’s line 
Containing by Survey SIxty four acres and a half of land... It is further 
understood that Richard STEPHENS has pretended to claim the same in consequence 
of a contract he has made for all the unbounded and undeeded land and in that 
case the said Thomas INGRAM and Mary will warrant and defend the same from the 
cliam of said STEPHENS to the said John HOWSER.
