She was born in Arjay on December 7, 1924 to Rev. W.P. Bill Garland and Bessie Storms Garland. She was a member of the Arjay Baptist Church and retired in 1988 from Arjay Elementary School after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Tom Inman, daughter Patsy Inman; brothers, Billy, James and Delbert Garland. Survivors include her children, Bill and Lil Inman of Fort Wayne, IN; Emma and Max Garnett of Clear Creek; Gwen and Jim Baker of Dade City, FL, Frankie and Donald Dozier of Straight Creek, Arlene Inman of Middlesboro; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, two-great-great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Tommy and Charlotte Garland, Floyd and Wilma Garland, Kenneth Garland, Polly and Bob Rice, Juanita Donaldson, Susie Hall and Stella Garland, sisters-in-law, Violet Garland and Maxine Garland, special friend, Tiffany Sutton and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services were Friday, April 18, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Bays. Burial was in the Big Jim Cemetery at Arjay. Friends of the family served as pallbearers. Grandsons were honorary pallbearers. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the Inman Family.
