Born Dec. 22, 1923, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late James and Hadgie N. Peavler Isham. He was a retired Corning Glass Co. machinist, a member of Pioneer Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel and Pioneer of Harrodsburg. He served in the Army during World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Carol I. Bizzell of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Marie Best, Pauline Votaw and Mildred Isham, all of Harrodsburg; and two grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jack Geurin and Butch Merchant. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Best Jr., Michael Brown, David Lunsford, Donovan Bast, Stanley Isham Jr., Henry Anness and Ernest Shepherd. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today and after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
