Born Feb. 29, 1888, in Elliot County, she was a daughter of the late John and Easter Castle Griffith. She was a member of the regular Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Kimble Ison of Rt. 1, Ashland and Linville Ison of Tampa, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Delbert Newsome of Rt. 1, Ashland, Mrs. Ettie Lewis of Mason, O., and Mrs. Jay Duvall of Washington Courthouse, O., two brothers, Walter Griffith of Ashland and George Griffith of Rush; five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Hale, Mrs. Allie Huff and Mrs. Meldie Mealy, all of Ashland, Mrs. Irene Damron of Grayson and Mrs. Pearl Newman of Huntington, and 10 grandchild- children and 16 great-grandchildren. The body is at the John Steen Funeral Home where funeral arrange- ments are incomplete.
