Jno B Gullick & wife To Deed John Ivie Fee paid Deld This Indenture made and entered into this 2d day of January 1851 between John B Gullick of the one part. and John Ivie of the other part both being of the County of Calloway and state of Kentucky: Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of nine hundred Dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged that the said Gullick has this day Sold unto Said Jno. Ivie a certain tract of land lying and being in the County aforesaid Known and designated as the North West quarter of Section two Township two and range five East. with sixty acres off the west side of the North East quarter of Section two Township two Range five East. Containing Two hundred and twenty acres more or less together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining To have and to hold the land hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said John Ivie his heirs and assigns forever. the said J B Gullick for himself his heirs executors and administrators the aforesaid tract of land and appurtenances unto the said Ivie his heirs or assigns against the the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever doth and will forever warrant and defend by these presents in witness whereof the said J B Gullick together with Mary J Gullick his wife who hereby relinquishes her right of dower in and to the lands conveyed in this deed hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day & date above written. Assigned sealed and delivered John B Gullick (seal) in presence of M J Gullick (seal) Test D. Holland Claiborn Wells Kentuck Calloway County Set. We W Gardner and A Vance two of the Commonwealth Justices of the peace for Said county do certify that Mary J Gullick the wife of the within named John B Gullick this day personally appeared before us who being examined privily and apart from her husband as the law directs voluntarily with her own free will and consent relinquished her right of dower to the premises conveyed by this deed and the Same is certified to the Clerk of the County Court of Calloway for record where the premises lie.
