From: KyArchives Sent: Monday, September 24, 2018 2:47 PM To: Ky-Footsteps Subject: Jackson.John-Reeves.James.1813.Woodford-Franklin.DEED John Jackson - James Reeves September 15, 1813 Woodford-Franklin County KyArchives Deed Written: September 15, 1813 Recorded: September 15, 1813 1813 Deed - Lewis Craig, Attorney for James Reeves, to John Jackson Woodford County, Kentucky Deed Book F, p. 202 This Indenture made this fifteeneth day of September 1813 between Lewis Craig Jr atto. in fact for Jas Reeves of the county of Franklin and State of Kentucky of the one part and John Jackson of the county of Woodford and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Lewis Craig Jr. as for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & twenty Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said John Jackson his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Woodford on the waters of Glenns creek containing Eight hundred twenty acres that is to say the said James Reeves entire & full interest as one of the Hs of Thomas Reeves decd in the said tract of land which is bounded as follows to wit Beginning at the west line of a preemption of one thousand acres surveyed for John Williams & Obed McCrakin (sic) at a sugartree Hickory and Elm marked T.R. running thence North 70 d W 400 po crossing a branch at 20 pole & 40 poles and a small branch at 380 poles to a hickory & mulberry thence South 20 W 395 poles crossing a branch to two white oaks thence S 70 E 275 poles to a black walnut Honey locust & buckeye on a ridge thence N 45 E 420 poles ith Williams & McCrakins (sic) line to the Beginning To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land hereby conveyed with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining thereto unto the said Jackson his heirs and assigns for ever and the said Lewis Craig & for himself & his heirs executors and administrators do covenant and agree to and with the said Jackson his heirs executors and administrators that he will warrant and for ever defend the right and title to the land hereby conveyed from him the sd. Js Reeves his heirs executors and administrators and from all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming under him the sd James Reeves In witness whereof the said Lewis Craig Jr etc hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written Lewis Craig Jr (Seal) Attorney in fact for James Reeves Woodford County Sct.
