James.Frank.1990.Pike.OBIT FRANK JAMES SOUTH WILLIAMSON, Ky. - Frank James, 71, of McVeigh, died Sunday, march 4, 1990 in the Appalachian Regional Hospital. Born December 30, 1918, in Pike Co., Ky., he was a son of the late Estil and Mary Elizabeth James. He also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. A member of the Bluesprings Freewill Baptist Church, he was a retired coal miner and member of United Mine Workers of America, Local No. 5737. Survivors: wife, Mellie (Tucker) James; sons, Harold James, Huddy, Frank James Jr., Franklin NC; daughters, Henrietta Justice, Louisville, Shirlene Justice, Ann Arbor, Mich., Christine Whitt, South Williamson, Phyllistene Booth, McVeigh, Sharon Herron, Boca Raton, Fla., Francis Hoffman, South Williamson; brother Victor James, Hardy; sisters, Dollie Justice, Elkhorn City, Hollie Morris, Columbus, Ohio, Deset Slone, Lexington, Sofie Elkins, Forest Hills; 17 grandchildren, one great- grandchild. Funeral: Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Wednesday, March 7, 1990, 2 p.m. with John Calvin Hatfield and Willie Daughterty officiating. Burial at Mountain Veiw Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky.
